Korean Air Boeing 777-300 (HL7573) broke its right main-gear axle after a hard landing at Tokyo Narita..

On Friday 29 June 2018, a Korean Air Boeing 777-300 (HL7573) operated a flight from Seoul to Tokyo, during a shaky approach and landing on runway 16L at Tokyo Narita the aircraft firmly touched down the runway. Smoke is visible on the right main-gear axle during the roll-out. 

All 319 passengers and 16 crew members on board remained safe, but the aircraft got stuck on the taxiway where passengers and crew waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes to be offloaded and brought to the terminal by bus. One witness told a Japanese newspaper that, before landing, the aircraft was swaying from left to right before hitting the runway. The Japanese aviation authorities have launched an investigation on the accident, metal and tire debris has been found on the runway after the hard landing.

The Plane suffered serious damage to the rear wheel axle of the right-hand main landing gear.
