ABD’nin Maryland eyaletinde enerji nakil hattında asılı kalan uçakta bulunan pilot ve yolcu gerçekleştirilen operasyonun ardından yaralı şekilde kurtarıldı. ABD’nin Maryland eyaletine bağlı Montgomery ilçesinde küçük uçak enerji nakil hattına çarptı. Kazanın ardından olay yerine gelen Montgomery ilçesi İtfaiye ve Kurtarma Servisi, yaklaşık 30 metre yüksekte asılı kalan uçakta bulunan 65 yaşındaki pilot Patrick Merkle ve 66 yaşındaki yolcu Jan Williams ile iletişim kurdu. Operasyon kapsamında enerji nakil hattında topraklama yapan ekipler, karayolunu da trafiğe kapattı. Yerel saatle 17.30 sıralarında başlayan ve yaklaşık 6 saat süren kurtarma çalışmalarının ardından ağır…

Airport Facility Directory- AFD
During the VFR Flight Planning, All student pilots have to use both AFD and VFR Sectional Charts for XC Flight, VFR Flight Planning, etc. What else information does AFD provide? The Airport/Facility Directory (abbreviated A/FD), provides comprehensive information on airports, facilities and operations. Traffic pattern altitudes for propeller-driven aircraft generally extend from 600 feet to as high as 1,500 feet above the ground. Unless otherwise indicated, all turns in the traffic pattern should be made to the left. The FAA updates the supplements every 56 days, making them a staple in pilots’ flight…
I passed the Checkride
THE DREAM CAME TRUE! I passed!!! Yes, I finally hold that white slip in hand, I’m a pilot! As I sit here only 17 hours post checkride I am still trying to get a handle on it all. I can’t help but think of all the times I asked myself what the heck am I doing here, this crosswind stuff is crazy or the many many landings and even wondering if I would make it at all. Wow, some frustrating times indeed. I also think about wanting this so bad…
Croswind Takeoff and Landing
Crosswind Takeoff: A good crosswind takeoff starts on the ramp by observing the windsock. When the takeoff roll begins, the upwind aileron is being held fully up (yoke turned toward the wind) to prevent the upwind wing from rising in gusts. Reduce the aileron deflection somewhat as the aircraft accelerates and the controls become more responsive. The preferred takeoff sequence for a crosswind is: front wheel first, downwind wheel second, upwind wheel third in order to keep the airplane centerline after rotation. If you’re dealing with a significant crosswind, you want to use the same…
Aerodynamic Forces (4-Force) in Flight: Aerodynamics is the way air moves around Aircraft. The four forces of flight are “lift, weight, thrust and drag.” These forces make an object move up and down, and faster or slower. How much of each force there is changes how the object moves through the air. Weight comes from gravity pulling down on objects. Lift works opposite of weight. Thrust works opposite of drag. How to fly Airplane? The air pressure is higher on the bottom side/surface of a wing, so it is pushed upward and producing lift. Once the forces…
Traffic Pattern ? How to fly and steps need to be done!
Traffic Pattern: Traffic pattern at an airport is a standard path for coordinating air traffic. It differs from “straight-in approaches” and “direct climb-outs” in that aircraft using a traffic pattern remain close to the airport. Airport traffic patterns (Left/Right) are developed to ensure that air traffic is flown into and out of an airport safely. (Consult the AFD- Airport Facility Director) After completing the required air work (or maneuvers), the applicant has to return to the airport of departure or in some cases a nearby airport to complete the takeoff and landings.
Basic Aviation Terminology for New Beginners (PPL Students)
As APA, We offer our distinguished students to have English Aviation Proficiency. APA’s Motto : English is the primary element of Aviation, even more important rather than skill…So, English is an absolute must ! Our aim is to give you self confidence in Pilot Training and make you a pilot flying globally… Aviation offers you all science, freedom, beauty, adventure.. So, APA proposes to students at least 30 H. Aviation English Classes If they don’t feel enough confident to start up training ATC Pilot Glossary, MORE ON AIM PAGE 819 Abeam — An…
PPL Oral Exam: How to calculate Take off ground roll ?
This is the most common topic for those who are having PPL Oral and Practical Exam. As American Pilot Academy, We r trying to solve a numerical problem related to determining take-off roll using a take-off distance graph and Landing roll using landing sheet of Aircraft. Lets Start giving The parameters are which Temp: 15 C, Press. alt: 5850 ft, TO Gross Weight: 2500 lbs, headwind components : 20 Knots. We have got the following graph (Pls check and follow solid red lines): Solid/ Red dashed line shows us how…
APA Traffic Pattern and Communication Procedures, Pompano Beach, KPMP.
An airfield traffic pattern (Close Pattern, Rectangular Pattern ) is a standard path followed by aircraft when taking off or landing while maintaining visual contact with the airfield. At an airport, the pattern (or circuit in the Commonwealth) is a standard path for coordinating air traffic. When I was a student in the army aviation school in 1992, I learned the golden rule of standard traffic pattern entries: Always enter the downwind leg on a 45-degree angle and at pattern altitude. This is the best and safest entry, because it enables you to see other…
Army Helicopter Fell in to the Urban Area..
Bad news from Turkey, Two accidents occurred in two consecutive months.. The Turkish Army Bell UH-1 helicopter crashed in Çekmeköy, Istanbul, in front of a park for unknown reasons. It is reported that a Türk Kara Kuvvetleri (KKK, Turkish Land Forces) UH-1 Huey crashed in Istanbul (Turkey) in the late afternoon of 11 February 2019. Unfortunately, the crew of four was killed after the helicopter fell into an urban area named as Çekmeköy. There were no civilian casulaties on the ground.
